Treatment of plastic thermoforming machine after water immersion

Electrical part (especially important)

① Disconnect the power supply, and after all the following steps are confirmed to be OK, the power can be turned on again under the guidance of professionals!

Disconnect all power sources, hang a no-closing operation sign on the main switch, and do not work on the plastic thermoforming machine until the power is disconnected.

②Check whether the PLC main board and touch screen have water.

If the PLC main board and touch screen get into water, the internal battery needs to be removed as soon as possible. Otherwise, individual components will remain energized, which will worsen the damage of wetted components.

③ Check whether the electric box is filled with water

If the electric box is soaked in water, ask professionals to remove the electrical components in the entire electric box, open the shell and clean the circuit board and metal contacts with circuit board cleaning solution, including I/O board, 24V power supply, 5V power supply, transformer, AC Contactors, air switches, solid state devices, etc.; locations and components that cannot be cleaned, use flushing. After rinsing, make sure that the circuit board is completely dry before installing it again. If a single unit capacitor or transistor is damaged, you can contact the manufacturer to replace it.

④Dry all electrical components

Use a hair dryer or dryer to fully dry all components. The decomposed and cleaned components can be layered into dry materials. The drying temperature is 50~60℃, and the drying time is 8~10 hours. It is better to choose low temperature for a long time. After drying, test whether the insulation resistance value meets the requirements. It is recommended to use a multimeter for 24V low-voltage lines and components with a resistance range of 100K or higher (the higher the range, the better), and a megohmmeter for 220V and above lines and components to judge whether they are damaged and dry completely.

⑤Electrical components are individually energized and checked

Professionals are required to energize and inspect the completely dry electrical components, and they can be installed and used after the inspection is in good condition.


If the failure of electrical components cannot be avoided after the above operations, please stop using it immediately, and contact the manufacturer's service personnel for replacement or repair before starting the plastic thermoforming machine.

Hydraulic part

①Check whether the motor oil pump has water

If the motor oil pump is soaked in water, the motor oil pump cannot be turned on, because the water entering the hydraulic oil after turning on the motor may enter the hydraulic pipeline system of the machine, causing the metal hydraulic components to rust.

②Check whether the hydraulic oil has entered water

Open the plug at the bottom of the oil tank on the rack, release a small amount of oil, and ignite it with a piece of paper. If it cannot be ignited or there is a crackling sound during the combustion process, it means that there is water in the hydraulic oil; anhydrous copper sulfate test can also be used to see Whether it will turn blue, if it turns blue, it means water. If the oil contains water, the entire hydraulic oil in the tank needs to be replaced. Wipe the tank with a clean cloth before changing the oil. At the same time, check the hydraulic components and pipelines, and deal with them in the same way.

Other parts

①Check all servo motors and drivers

Ask professionals to separate the stator and rotor of the motor, dry the stator winding (the rotor of the servo motor has a strong magnetic force, please pay attention to safety), and use a 100W incandescent lamp to extend into the motor shell for at least 8 hours of drying treatment. After drying, use Shake the meter to detect the insulation resistance must ensure ≥ 0.4MΩ. At the same time, remove the motor bearing and clean it with gasoline to check whether it can be used, otherwise replace the bearing of the same specification.

②Check the lubrication pump

Separate the rotor, stator and pump bladder of the lubricating pump motor. The fixed windings can be dried with a drying hopper. The insulation resistance must be guaranteed to be greater than or equal to 0.4MΩ. Derusting, the gears in the pump can rotate flexibly. Lubricate the lubricating parts to check whether the lubrication is good.

③ Inspection of the whole machine

Check the whole machine, do a good job of cleaning and anti-rust treatment, test each action one by one when starting up, and observe whether there is any abnormality in the action process!
